My Story

Howdy, I'm Lex

A photographer devoted to capturing the moment

I took my first photography class in high school and instantly fell in love with being behind the camera. I began by photographing everyday moments and the people around me. In college, I started taking photography more seriously, mentored by a fine arts professor and volunteering as a photographer on campus. Now, I photograph on the side, grateful for the many opportunities I’ve had and the people I’ve connected with through my camera!

Approach

Relaxed Atmosphere

I try to create a comfortable space where the camera can fade into the background. By taking away the pressure to perform, you can relax, be yourself, and let real moments happen .

Creative & Exploratory

Sessions are an opportunity to explore. Whether we're in a meaningful location or discovering somewhere new, we'll experiment with poses, lighting, and creative ideas to create images that feel special just for you.

Genuine Connection

I focus on the real moments--the laughter, excitement, quite moments, and little details that make your experience yours. Rather than forcing a pose, I capture the personality and connection behind the photograph.

Experience

Mentored and attended several digital media classes, gaining hands‑on experience in photography, lighting, and visual storytelling.

Professional Training

I’ve worked under a range of artists and photographers, learning from their unique styles and approaches to shape my own way of seeing and capturing moments.

 Publications

Published work across social media platforms (NCAA, Spalding University, Daytime Disco Society, local KY bands) and in Stroll Cherokee Triangle magazine, with several images selected for photo contests.

Specialized Expertise

Based in Louisville, Kentucky, I’ve had the chance to collaborate with local artists, businesses, and community groups, which has given me a close connection to the city’s creative community and the stories it holds
